What natural language is most similar to mathematical notation ?
What natural language is most similar to programming languages ?
I hear legal English is pretty close.

I want to say Latin for programming since sentences seem to need to be compiled?

  3. In what way is Latin compiled ?
Is Lojban natural ? It is a synthetic language. Is it as expressive as other natural languages? Can you write satisfying poetry in Lojban ?
Is a certain amount of ambiguity required of a language in order for it to be expressive ?

To me, Latin is compiled since translations either seem arise logically when using a stringent rule based system of translations where everything has to agree and be in the correct form. If there is one small error, the whole translation usually falls apart.

Then again, maybe its because I'm new to the language and the basic task of declining nouns and adjectives reminds me a lot of declaring variables.

I'm not a language person, it just felt similar to programming for me. I'd be willing to say that I just used basic programming tactics to help me get through the class.
